Find Differences Between PDF Files
Stop scrolling through pages looking for what changed. PDFverifier finds every difference between two PDF files automatically and highlights them directly on the page.
What gets detected
- Additions — anything that appears in the new version but not in the old, highlighted in green
- Deletions — anything removed from the old version, highlighted in blue
- Modifications — moved or altered objects, line weight changes, formatting differences
- Layout shifts — even small position changes are caught by pixel-level analysis
Visual diff vs text diff
Text-based PDF diff tools extract the text layer and compare strings. They are fast but miss anything that isn't text: graphics, drawings, signatures, stamps, and scanned content. They also fail when text is embedded as part of an image (very common in CAD exports).
PDFverifier uses pixel-level visual diff: it renders both PDFs at high resolution and compares the actual rendered output. That means every visual difference is detected — whether it's a single moved line in a drawing or a deleted paragraph.
Adjustable sensitivity
Different documents need different settings. Comparing scanned forms? Use lower sensitivity to ignore tiny scan-noise differences. Comparing engineering drawings where every line matters? Crank sensitivity up to catch the subtlest changes. PDFverifier lets you tune this per drawing.
